The Road to Glory for three of the North East’s top stars

Three of the North East’s top competitors will be competing in the first ever official “Road to Glory” in the UK this weekend in Lincolnshire’s Grantham Meres, promoted by Suggy’s Gym owner – and father of former GLORY Kickboxing welterweight contender Chad – Dean Sugden.

Three fighters taking part in the event at the 1500-seater stadium will be rewarded with a deal to fight on the biggest kickboxing stage in the world; GLORY Kickboxing.

We’re absolutely delighted to be giving fighters this amazing opportunity and, in doing so, to be bringing fans what is guaranteed to be an action-packed evening they won’t want to miss.

The eight best featherweights in the UK will be competing in an 8-man tournament with the winner and runner-up being awarded a two-fight deal with GLORY, including Northern Kings‘ Gary Laws and Contender Fight Academy‘s Andrew Liddell.

As well as the tournament, there is also a GLORY Kickboxing contract up for grabs in the Road to Glory SuperFight main event between ISKA and WKA World Champion Kev Ward and MASAC‘s Jamie Bates.

Bringing these two gladiators together, with the stakes being so high, means the crowd at Grantham Meres will be in for a real treat.

“And as all if this wasn’t enough, there’s yet more great news for fight fans who will be thrilled to learn that GLORY returns to the UK next year with a massive show in London“, added Dean.
