Victory Promotions announce Stanton vs Trujillo as main event in November
After a successful second show at Scotswood Sports Centre in Newcastle on Saturday night, the Victory Promotions team have wasted no time announcing their next show which is to be held on the 11th November, headlined by UK #2 Brad Stanton against Spanish WMC Champion and Spain’s #1, Nauzet Trujillo.
Trujillo trains at Shoothon Gym in Tenerife, alongside teammate Isaac Araya, who lost a close decision to UK #1 Keith McLachlan at last weekend’s Battle of the North 2.
The Spaniard is no stranger to English opposition, though, having beaten Reece McAllister early last year with a spinning elbow KO, and then being stopped by Charlie Peters in a welterweight title bout at MTGP5 in June, suffering only his second defeat in 25 professional fights.
UK #2 at 69.8kg Brad Stanton, who trains at Kiatphontip UK under South Thailand Champion Jompop, also boasts a healthy professional record with 41 wins from 49 bouts, and has beaten some of the top fighters in the world.
Coming off the back of a decision loss to Jake Purdy at YOKKAO 20 late last year, Brad started 2017 with a KO stoppage victory against Stephen Meikle and will be looking to solidify his place amongst Europe’s elite when he faces Spain’s #1 in Newcastle in November.
